To study properly is an important work for everys student So, many students leave their homes and come to towns or big cities for studies. Generally, they live in hostels. Hostels provide an ideal environment to students,Some hostels are big and some are small. Mostly, many students live together in a hostel.

Generally, a hostel room has a bed, a table, a chair, a table lamp and a cupboard for each student. The charges of the rooms are fixed. It depends on the facilities provided.Meals are also provided in hostels. There are fixed timings for them. The food is simple and nutritious. A hostel superintendent takes care of the administration of hostels.He ensures that the boarding students strictly follow all ther rules If a student breaks discipline, he is punished.

There are many advantages and hostel life. The students become disciplined. They becomee co-operative and self-dependent. They get all the facilities and good environment for studies. On the other hand, they miss their family's love and care. They are bound to followt therules of hostels strictly. Some students fall into bad company and ruin their life. So, they should take care of this. They should understand that this is the time to make their future.

Besides all of these, the hostel life has its own charm.The students have freedom to take decisions. They become mature and social. They learn to share things. I think every student should enjoy a hostel life. He should make use or this opportunity in a positive way. It provides a golden chance to grow up into a good human being.

प्रत्येक छात्र के लिए उचित ढंग से पढ़ना एक महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य

होता है। अतः, बहुत-से छात्र अपने घर छोड़कर अध्ययन के लिए नगरों या बड़े शहरों में आते हैं। सामान्यतया वे छात्रावासों में रहतेहैं। छात्रावास छात्रों को एक आदर्श वातावरण उपलब्ध कराते हैं। कुछ छात्रावास बड़े और कुछ छोटे होते हैं। छात्रावास में प्रायः कई छात्र एक साथ रहते हैं।

 सामान्यतया, छात्रावास के कमरे में प्रत्येक छात्र के लिए एक बिस्तर, एक मेज, एक कुरसी, एक टेबल लैम्प और एक अलमीरा होता है। कमरों के शुल्क (किराया) निर्धारित रहते हैं। यह उपलब्ध कराई गई सुविधाओं पर निर्भर करता है। छात्रावासों में भोजन भी उपलब्ध कराए जाते हैं। इनके लिए समय निर्धारित होते हैं। भोजन सादा एवं पौष्टिक होता है। छात्रावास अधीक्षक छात्रावास के प्रशासनकी देखरेख करते हैं। वे सुनिश्चित करते हैं कि छात्रावासी सभी नियमों का कड़ाई से पालन करें। यदि कोई छात्र अनुशासन भंग करताहै, तो उसे दंडित किया जाता है।

छात्रावास-जीवन के अनेक लाभ एवं हानियाँ हैं। छात्र अनुशासितहो जाते हैं। वे सहयोगी (एक-दूसरे की सहायता करनेवाले) और

आत्मनिर्भर हो जाते हैं। उन्हें अध्ययन के लिए सभी सुविधाएँ औरअच्छा वातावरण मिलते हैं। दूसरी ओर, वे अपने परिवार के प्यारऔर देखभाल से चूक जाते हैं। वे छात्रावास के नियमों का कड़ाईसे पालन करने के लिए बाध्य होते हैं। कुछ छात्र बुरी संगति में पड़ जाते हैं और अपना जीवन बरबाद कर लेते हैं। अतः उन्हें इस बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिए। उन्हें समझना चाहिए कि भविष्य बनाने का यही समय है। इन सब के बावजूद, छात्रावास-जीवन का अपना आकर्षण है। छात्रों को अपने निर्णय लेने की स्वतंत्रता रहती है। वे परिपक्व तथा सामाजिक बनते हैं। वे सहभागिता सीखते हैं। मैं समझता हूँ कि प्रत्येक छात्र को छात्रावास-जीवन का आनंद लेना चाहिए। उसे सकारात्मक रूप से इस अवसर का उपयोग करना चाहिए। यह एक अच्छा मानव बनने के लिए सुनहरा अवसर प्रदान करता है।
